Just submitted some sketches I have done in the last couple months. Just sharpening the knives a bit. How are all of you?

I don't know why my sketch book feels empty. I think it's mirroring my lack of inspiration as someone that can barely call herself an artist. How do I free myself from this gray, blank world...?

I understand this is DA. The rules of what is art and what isn't is very much stretched. It seems anyone with a pair of boobs and a cheap 60$ camera can take a couple nude pictures, post them onto DA, and call it art. Why are people calling this artistic photography when in reality we're and 'they' are feeding these attention starved girls? There is a difference of celebrating the nudity of the human body and exploitation of it. Even in history, the most famous works of art demonstrated the strength of muscles or the reality of them. These artists didn't paint themselves for others to oggle at them for self validation.

I'm against those persons taking a quick picture with no other thought than to expose themselves for an unhealthy need of attention. I'm against art being skewed to meet the needs of these poeple.

True artists have spent years trying to perfect their medium and continue still trying to reach their goal. Making art is a neverending endeavor, it continues to develop into new things or better things.

It's not a matter of being limited to a cheap digital camera to create art, it's not about the showing of the naked body, it's about defacing the term 'art' to excuse some girl's trashy photos in an attempt to ressurect her self esteem that has been long dead.

It's been a while since my last submission into the gallery. Here's to another promise to update more often. Maybe this time it won't just be fashion illustration. Haven't been able to sit down and do something out of inspiration. I could blame it on being busy with school, life,...etc, but in the end I just don't sketch for fun anymore. Don't. Know. Why.
